🎉 Exciting News! BiOptic Awarded U.S. Patent for “Glycan Profiling Utilizing Capillary Electrophoresis”
In the field of glycoscience and glycobiology, Academician Chi-Huey Wong has long been one of Taiwan's most influential scientific leaders. His groundbreaking research in glycan chemistry, biomedical applications, and vaccine strategies has not only elevated Taiwan's presence on the global stage, but has also earned him recognition from major international media as a strong contender for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. His contributions continue to inspire generations of researchers and have played a key role in shaping Taiwan's position in global glycobiotechnology.
Building on the foundation established by pioneers in this field, our team invested in capillary electrophoresis–based glycan analysis several years ago. Today, we are excited to share a major milestone, our technology has officially been granted a U.S. patent. This achievement is more than just a technical success; it represents international validation of our approach to glycan analysis, quantification, purification, and structural characterization.
Looking ahead, we will leverage this patent to further expand our application portfolio, including:
• Comprehensive analysis of complex glycan structures
• Integration of purification workflows
• Support for disease research
• Bioprocess and product quality control
Our goal is to enable capillary electrophoresis to unlock even greater potential across glycan science and beyond.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated team, whose hard work made this possible, and to the scientific pioneers who paved the way. We look forward to delivering more innovation and continuing to shine a global spotlight on Taiwan's biotechnology capabilities.
