In 2009, BiOptic began developing an innovative capillary gel electrophoresis system incorporating disposable pen-shaped gel cartridges. In 2011, the company officially introduced its first Qsep100 Capillary Gel Electrophoresis Bio-Fragment Analyzer at the Laboratory Automation Conference in Palm Springs, California, USA.
By integrating pre-cast gel cartridges, capillary electrophoresis instrumentation, and analytical software, BiOptic simplified the labor-intensive processes associated with conventional gel electrophoresis, including gel preparation, staining, and image analysis. This integrated approach enables users to improve analytical efficiency, simplify operation, and achieve more consistent, standardized, and reproducible bio-fragment analysis results.
This innovation design also laid an important foundation for the continued development of BiOptic's automated bioanalysis platforms.
